Ceervi Fawn Species Reference (Open species!) by bananamantis Ceervi Fawn Species Reference (Open species!) by bananamantis
This ref is pretty terrible, sorry about that! I hope all of my handwriting is legible.

CLICK FOR BLANK terrible LINEART

Top-left image is a standard fawn. This is the common tail shape and mane length. Tail length can vary, but any other shape is rare. Horn shape varies GREATLY, but should not be longer than the ones shown! More than one pair of horns is considered a rare trait. Ear shape can be anything except folded.

Markings and colors are unrestricted, however an excess of unnatural shapes (stars, swirls, hearts, etc) should be avoided.

I will be doing very occasional auctions.

I'm going to be adding more stuff to this later on, but I wanted to put this basic stuff out so people could start making if they wanted.

If you have any questions let me know!

Do these creatures co-exist with weavers?

Yes! Weavers often live with ceervi herds ovo

Would it be possible for them to live solitarily (not a word I guess haha)  - just as companions? Or are they set herd animals? I am working on my story for the weaver give-away thing and also going to figure out the DTA and i am just wondering about the world and such.

They CAN but it's really dangerous. There are lots of predators to consider, and weavers are very vulnerable on their own. Some of the more intelligent predatory species can be reasoned/bartered with, but simpleminded critters like mud dogs are a major threat.

They're better off being companion to a stronger species.

What other species are there?
What other predators are (the more intelligent kind?) - I saw the mud dogs ^ ^ They are pretty cute haha

Would it be possible for her to befriend a large predator and get protection etc exchange for trinkets and things that she can procure for it? I just don't have another weaver or anything to pair her with and stuff.

Does this make sense? If this isn't allowed I understand. I just thought it would be cute.

I wish I had more of them designed! xD I'm working on that, though.

ATM most of my other species are sharing the same world, including ceervi, flora devils, weavers, mud dogs, and mothbats. Maybe she could pal around with a ceervi? They are somewhat capable of defense, though not as much as guardians.

I can do that =) And the ceervi are open for the small ones correct? Is a weaver smaller than a ceervi? I think I saw somewhere that they are only like 3-4 inches tall? Just want to make sure ^ ^

I can't wait to see the others designed.

They were original super small (about 2' tall) but I've changed the standard height to around 3 1/2-4' tall. Ceervi are 5' (ish).
